This fabulous cake is made for special occasions. I had lost the recipe for years, but recently found it again. I got the recipe on line many years ago, don't know where. Whenever I do take it to family get togethers, everyone wants the recipe.

Number Of Ingredients 13

1 white cake mix
1 large vanilla instant pudding mix
4 eggs, separated
1 1/3 cups whole milk
1/2 cup oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/8 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
16 ounces Cool Whip
2 -3 pints fresh strawberries

Steps:

  • Separate eggs and beat whites till stiff. Combine rest of ingredients including egg yolk and beat well. Fold in egg whites. Grease 3 9 inch cake pans and divide mixture between them.
  • Bake 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Frosting: Cream butter and cream cheese. Add sugars, blend well. Then add vanilla and fold in Cool Whip.
  • Cut strawberries into slices, reserve some for top.
  • When cake is cool, layer with frosting then strawberries.
  • REFRIGERATE cake OVERNIGHT or it will be a total flop!

This is always a hit at my Family Reunion. Easy to make and is delicious too!

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 box white cake mix (mix as directed)
1 c confectioners' sugar
8 oz cream cheese
1 c cool whip
1 pkg strawberry glaze
1 qt fresh strawberries

Steps:

  • 1. Mix the cake mix as directed on box. Pour in a 9 x 13" baking pan. Bake as directed. Cool cake.
  • 2. Mix cream cheese (room temperature), and confectioner sugar. Fold in 8 oz. Cool Whip. Spread onto cooled cake.
  • 3. Mix fresh strawberries and glaze together, spread over cream cheese layer. Top with cool whip if desired.

Great no-bake dessert for the 4th of July.

1 angel food cake, cubed
3 pints strawberries, diced
1/2 cup sugar, add to strawberries, let stand about 30 minutes
MIX TOGETHER:
1 can sweetened condensed milk
8 oz. tub cool whip
8 oz. package cream cheese, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla

Steps:

  • 1. Spread cubed cake out in a 9x13 pan. Pour sugared strawberries over cake.
  • 2. Pour cream mixture over the top of strawberries.
  • 3. Refrigerate.
