2 lbs chicken wings ((organic or free range preferred))
2 tsp kosher salt
2 Tbsp olive oil
1 Tbsp sesame oil
2 Tbsp lemon juice
1 Tbsp brown sugar
2 garlic cloves ((pressed))
1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1 tsp dry dill
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper ((optional))

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine all the seasonings, add chicken wings and mix by hand ensuring even coating.
  • Transfer the wings to a suitable size Ziploc bag. Refrigerate for at least half an hour. Marinating up to 24 hours is perfectly acceptable and will only be beneficial.
  • Preheat a large frying pan. Sear chicken wings on both sides over high heat for about one and a half to two minutes per side.
  • Reduce heat to low, cover with a lid leaving a small crack, and continue cooking for about 20 minutes until the meat is tender. Flip the wings twice or three times during cooking.

A simple and delicious recipe for Honey Chicken Wings that is prepared over the stovetop.

1kg chicken wings, halved
4 tablespoon soy sauce
3 tablespoons honey
3 tablespoon cooking oil
1 tablespoon sesame oil
4 garlic, sliced/chopped
2 inch ginger, peeled and sliced
1 tsp chilli flakes
½ tsp freshly ground black pepper
Salt, if required
rosemary (optional)

Steps:

  • Clean the chicken wings thoroughly and pat dry with paper towels.
  • In a non stick pan, add oil and saute ginger and garlic for 1 minute. Add in chilli flakes, rosemary and chicken wings.
  • Fry for about 5 minutes. Keep turning the chicken wings.
  • Add the soy sauce, black pepper and sesame oil. Cook for about 10 minutes.
  • Finally, add the honey and cook for another 10 minutes or till the chicken is cook, dry and sticky. Once you have added the honey, do cook the chicken under low heat as you do not want to burn the chicken wings.
  • Season with some salt, if required.

4 green onions with tops, sliced

2-1/2 pounds chicken wings

Steps:

  • In a large plastic bag or glass dish, combine the first nine ingredients. Add chicken wings; coat well. Cover and refrigerate 2-3 hours or overnight, turning occasionally. Remove chicken to a shallow rack in a baking pan; discard marinade. , Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 30 minutes. Turn and bake about 20 minutes longer or until tender.

1 ½ pounds chicken wings, split and tips removed
¼ cup lite soy sauce
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Steps:

  • Combine brown sugar, honey, sesame oil, and chili oil in a small bowl; set aside.
  • Heat olive oil in a nonstick pan over medium heat. Add chicken and cook, turning occasionally, until lightly browned on all sides, about 5 minutes. Reduce heat to low, add soy sauce, and cook until reduced, about 5 minutes. Flip chicken to coat evenly.
  • Add brown sugar mixture to the pan. Continue to cook and flip chicken until no longer pink in the center and juices run clear, about 20 minutes. Sprinkle with white sugar. Continue flipping and cooking for an additional 5 minutes. Remove from the pan and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

1/2 cup orange blossom honey
1/3 cup white vinegar
2 tablespoons paprika
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon pepper
4 pounds chicken wings

Steps:

  • Combine honey, vinegar, paprika, salt and pepper in a small bowl., Cut through the 2 wing joints with a sharp knife, discarding wing tips. Add remaining wing pieces and honey mixture to a large bowl; stir to coat. Cover and refrigerate 4 hours or overnight., Preheat oven to 375°. Remove wings; reserve honey mixture. A few months ago I made this great sesame chicken that my mother and I loved.... problem was it was one of those dinners where I added a little of this... a little of that.... and could not for the life of me remember what on earth I put in it!! So after months of tinkering in the kitchen I FINALLY came up with the recipe last night, and wrote down all the ingredients!! Enjoy!

1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup chicken broth
1 -2 tablespoon sesame oil (to personal taste)
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 tablespoon chopped garlic
1/2 tablespoon brown sugar
1 dash red chili pepper flakes
2 teaspoons cornstarch (or more is you want a thicker sauce)
4 chicken breasts, cut into cubes
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon sherry wine
1/2 teaspoon Chinese five spice powder (optional)
2 drops sesame oil
cornstarch, to coat
vegetable oil (for frying) or peanut oil (for frying)
sesame seeds (to garnish)
sliced green onion (to garnish)
prepared rice, to serve

Steps:

  • Combine chicken ingredients except cornstarch and let marinate for at least 30 minutes in the fridge.
  • Remove chicken from marinade and toss in cornstarch then cook chicken in hot oil on the stove top until cooked thru. Remove from pan and keep warm in oven while making the sauce.
  • Combine all sauce ingredients EXCEPT cornstarch in a sauce pan and bring to a boil over med. heat.
  • Mix cornstarch with a little water (about 1/4 cup) in a cup until disolved then slowly add to the sauce mixture on the stove and heat until thickened to you liking.
  • Add chicken to sauce on the stove until heated thru.
  • Remove and sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions and finally enjoy!

⅓ cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons peanut butter
1 tablespoon honey
2 teaspoons wine vinegar
1 tablespoon minced garlic
12 large chicken wings, tips removed and wings cut in half at joint
1 teaspoon sesame seeds, or to taste

Steps:

  • In an electric skillet or a large skillet over medium heat, mix together the water, sugar, soy sauce, peanut butter, honey, wine vinegar, and garlic until smooth and the sugar has dissolved. Place the wings into the sauce, cover, and simmer for 30 minutes. Uncover and simmer until the wings are tender and the sauce has thickened, about 30 more minutes, spooning sauce over wings occasionally. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
