1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon white vinegar
1 tablespoon Sriracha sauce
1 tablespoon sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons grated peeled fresh ginger
1 1/2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil
1 1/2 pounds chicken wings, cut in half at joint (wing tips removed), or drumsticks

Steps:

  • In a glass baking dish, whisk together soy sauce, vinegar, Sriracha sauce, sugar, ginger, and sesame oil. Add chicken and toss to coat. Marinate 30 minutes, tossing halfway through. Preheat oven to 475 degrees. Bake until chicken is cooked through and sauce thickens, 30 minutes, flipping chicken halfway through.

I found this recipe in Everyday Foods and tried it for Super Bowl Sunday. It is very good and there is not much heat so kids and people who like a milder taste will enjoy them. Of course you can always add more Sriracha to the recipe for more heat and spice.

1/4 c soy sauce
2 Tbsp white vinegar
1 Tbsp sriracha sauce (can add more if you like a hotter sauce)
1 Tbsp sugar
1 1/2 tsp grated peeled fresh ginger
1 tsp finely chopped or grated garlic
1 1/2 tsp toasted sesame oil
1 1/2 lb chicken wings, cut in half at joint (wing tips removed) or drumsticks.

Steps:

  • 1. In a bowl whisk together all ingredients except for chicken.
  • 2. Add chicken and toss to coat. Marinate for 30 minutes, tossing wings ever so often. Can also put into frig and marinate for a longer time. I gave mine about 6 hours.
  • 3. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line a sheet pan with foil and dump chicken and sauce on it. Bake until chicken is cooked through and the sauce thickens, 30 to 45 minutes, flipping chicken halfway through cooking time. Enjoy!
