Here's our all-purpose Southwestern seasoning for tacos, burritos, just about everything. It's great on burgers, too and adds a spark to shredded beef or chicken in salads and sandwiches. If you're making ground/shredded beef pork or chicken, add a couple tablespoons of this seasoning for each pound and a half and cook it with...

SPRING HILL RANCH'S SALSA VERDE

Spring Hill Ranch's Salsa Verde image

Not everyone is aware that good Southwestern Salsa, like New Mexico chile sauce, is available in two colors: Red (salsa roja) and green (salsa verde). Where the red salsa highlights the tomato, green salsa is all about it's relative, the tomatillo. Here at the ranch, we normally have both red and green in the 'fridge, just as...

SPRING HILL RANCH'S SAZóN SEASONING

Spring Hill Ranch's Sazón Seasoning image

Sazón is a traditional Latin-American and Caribbean/West Indian seasoning mix. It is usually available in the Latin section of larger supermarkets, but we don't have any of them here in the puckerbrush of rural New Mexico. 1 1/2 teaspoons of this seasoning is the equivalent of 1 small packet of the commercial stuff. This one, of...

SPRING HILL RANCH'S REFRIED BEAN DIP

Spring Hill Ranch's Refried Bean Dip image

This is absolutely the best bean dip anywhere. Enjoy it with tortilla chips, or add some to your tacos or burritos. Don't tell anyone, but I even serve it in lieu of regular refried beans as a side dish!

SAZON

Sazon image

This is a copycat version of sazon, which I always use in Puerto Rican dishes. Other versions of this recipe call for only paprika or turmeric. I find adding both achieves the reddish-orange color without affecting flavor. The salt in this recipe can be reduced or omitted as many dishes call for additional salt. I prefer to omit and just add salt as needed to dishes while I'm cooking. I hope you will enjoy it!
