Homemade Spicy Pita Chips image

Super Easy Homemade Spicy Pita Chips. So much better than store bought. Only 4 ingredients and ready in less than 15 minutes!

4 pitas (cut into 8 triangles)
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp cayenne, (or more if you like it really spicy!)
1/2 tsp salt

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Add pitas to a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Sprinkle with seasonings and toss to coat the pita chips.
  • Cook for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown, flipping halfway. Take out of the oven and let the chips cool on the pan. Serve with your favorite dips and salsas! Store leftover chips at room temperature in an airtight container.

1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 whole-wheat pitas, cut into 1/8's

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Combine olive oil and all spices in a large bowl. Add pita wedges and toss to coat, Spread in 1 layer on a baking sheet and bake for about 15 minutes, tossing once, or until pita is brown and crisp. Cool completely before serving.

1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, plus extra for seasoning
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, plus extra for seasoning
4 strips bacon, cooked until crisp, finely chopped
1 cup (8 ounces) mascarpone cheese, at room temperature
3/4 cup sour cream
1/4 cup chopped fresh chives

Steps:

  • Place an oven rack in the center of the oven and preheat to 450 degrees F.
  • Cut each pita half into 4 wedges. Arrange the pita wedges in a single layer on a baking sheet. Brush with the oil, then sprinkle with the oregano, salt and pepper. Bake for 5 to 8 minutes until crisp and golden.
