3 cups flour
2 teaspoons garlic powder
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
2 eggs
2 tablespoons lemon juice
oil for frying
3 skinless, boneless chicken breasts, cubed

Steps:

  • Mix flour, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper together in a bowl. Beat eggs and lemon juice together in a separate bowl.
  • Heat 1 1/2 to 2 inches of oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  • Dip the chicken pieces into the flour mixture, then the egg mixture, and again into the flour mixture.
  • Test the oil to make sure it is hot enough: a small amount of flour dropped in should sizzle. Place 10 pieces of chicken into the hot oil; cook until golden brown, about 8 minutes. Remove from the oil and drain on a paper towel lined plate and season with salt. Repeat with remaining chicken.

An easier, fun twist on the famous Nashville Hot Chicken...spicy, saucy, and so delicious!

1 egg
2 pounds boneless chicken breasts, cut into cubes
1 1/4 cups corn flakes - finely crushed, or use Panko
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
kosher salt and black pepper
extra virgin olive oil, for drizzling
6 tablespoons salted butter
4-6 cloves garlic, chopped
3 tablespoons honey
1-2 teaspoons cayenne pepper, to taste
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon chili flakes, to taste

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat the oven to 425° F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.2. Beat the eggs in a large bowl, add the chicken and toss well to coat. In a separate bowl combine the cornflake crumbs, flour, paprika, and a pinch each of salt and pepper.3. Dredge the chicken through the crumbs, covering fully. Place on the prepared baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Bake for 15-20 minutes, turning halfway through cooking.4. Just before the chicken is done cooking, make the sauce. In a small skillet, melt together the butter and garlic over medium heat. Cook until the butter is browning and the garlic turns golden. Remove from the heat. Whisk in the honey, cayenne, chili powder, paprika, onion powder, and chili flakes. 5. Drizzle or pour the warm sauce over the chicken, tossing to coat. The sauce thickens quickly, so be sure to use while still warm. Serve um up!

1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon chili-lime seasoning (such as Tajin®)
2 teaspoons ground black pepper
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 eggs, or more as needed
2 tablespoons hot sauce
4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves, cut into small squares
vegetable oil for frying

Steps:

  • Combine flour, garlic powder, chili-lime seasoning, black pepper, seasoned salt, Cajun seasoning, and cayenne pepper in a large bowl.
  • Mix eggs and hot sauce together in a separate bowl until well blended.
  • Dip chicken pieces in egg mixture; coat lightly in flour mixture. Dip into eggs again and coat thoroughly in flour mixture.
  • Heat oil in a large saucepan to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) until a drop of water dropped on the pan sizzles. Add chicken; cook until crispy and golden brown, about 3 minutes per side. Drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
