BLENDED COFFEE FRAPPE



Blended Coffee Frappe image

A creamy, chilled coffee drink with a touch of caramel.

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 cups small ice cubes
1 cup brewed strong espresso, cooled
1/2 cup milk
3 tablespoons superfine sugar
1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Whipped cream and caramel sauce, for topping

Steps:

  • Put the ice, espresso, milk, sugar and vanilla in a blender. Blend until thick and smooth. Pour into two tall glasses and top with whipped cream and a drizzle of caramel sauce.

  • To a blender, add the ice, coffee, half-and-half, hazelnut syrup, and vanilla extract and blend until smooth. Pour the mixture into serving glasses and top with whipped cream and shaved chocolate.

2 shots coffee liqueur

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon ground cloves
1 tablespoon orange zest, fresh or dried

  • Fill a coffee filter with freshly ground coffee, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and zest. Fill the coffee maker with water to make 8 cups, and brew.

600 ml of extra strong freshly made coffee
sugar
2 cinnamon sticks
4 cloves
4 peppercorns
2 cardamoms, crushed
150 ml whipping cream
8 ice cubes
drinking cocoa powder
grated milk chocolate or unsweetened chocolate square

Steps:

  • Make the coffee and as soon as it is made put in the spices (the coffee will be very hot at this stage).
  • Cover and then when it comes to room temperature refrigerate it for 2 hours.
  • Strain and discard the spices (I wash them out and reuse them in the next curry I make- but then I am a wierdo).
  • Blend the coffee, cream, sugar and ice cubes till smooth and foamy.
  • Pour into 2 long glasses and sprinkle with the drinking chocolate powder and the chocolate flakes.
  • Drink immediately as the foam should be there when you have it.
