CHOCOLATE ORANGE FONDUE AND STEM STRAWBERRIES

Yield 2 servings, dip for 8 large stem strawberries

8 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
2 tablespoons orange liqueur
8 large stem strawberries

Steps:

  • When you are a few minutes away from serving dessert, place a medium sauce pot filled with 2 or 3 inches of water on the stove to come up to a boil. When water boils, reduce heat to simmer and cover pot with a metal bowl. Bowl should not touch water. Add chocolate and cream and melt together, about 5 minutes. Stir in orange liqueur. Transfer chocolate dip to a fondue pot and set strawberries alongside or, dip stem strawberries and arrange on a plate, serving them immediately.

1/2 cup heavy cream
4 teaspoon butter
1 cup strawberries
1 package graham crackers
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup fluff
1 cup pretzel rods
1 dozen Swedish fish candy

Steps:

  • Bring cream to a boil and add to chocolate chips and finish with soft butter. Keep in a warm place. Spread the peanut butter and fluff on the graham crackers and make sandwiches. Skewer the berry with 6-inch wood skewers and place all other ingredients around fondue.

1 pound good-quality dark chocolate, chopped
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
1 tablespoon Shaohsing rice wine or dry sherry
1 teaspoon Sichuan peppercorns, toasted and ground
Fresh strawberries, for serving
Fresh mango, sliced into 2-inch pieces, for serving
Bananas, cut into 2-inch pieces, for serving

Steps:

  • In a double boiler, melt the chocolate over barely simmering water. Stir together the cream and rice wine, and then gradually stir into the melted chocolate to combine. Stir in the Sichuan peppercorns. Transfer the mixture to a fondue pot to keep warm and serve with fresh fruit.
