Who doesn't love chilled lemonade on a hot summer day? Made with club soda, this version is slightly bubbly and bursting with citrus flavor. -Rebecca Baird, Salt Lake City, Utah

Yield 2-1/2 cups.

Number Of Ingredients 5

3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup lemon zest strips (about 1-1/2 lemons)
3/4 cup lemon juice (about 3 lemons)
1 cup club soda, chilled

Steps:

  • In a small saucepan, heat sugar and water over medium heat until sugar is dissolved, stirring frequently. Stir in lemon strips. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes. Cool slightly. , Transfer to a pitcher. Stir in lemon juice; cover and refrigerate until chilled. Discard lemon strips. Stir in club soda. Serve over ice.

Sparkling lemonade is easy to make at home and so refreshing! Make this summer drink with real lemon and soda water.

Number Of Ingredients 3

2 ounces (1/4 cup) simple syrup
2 ounces (1/4 cup) fresh lemon juice (1 large or 2 small lemons)
8 ounces (1 cup) soda water

Steps:

  • In the serving glass glass, stir the simple syrup and lemon juice. Add ice and top with soda water and stir gently to combine. Garnish with lemon wedge and serve with ice (makes 10 ounces or 1 1/2 cups).
  • In a large pitcher, combine 1 1/2 cups simple syrup, 1/2 cups lemon juice, and 6 cups soda water. Add ice and serve (makes 8 1 cup servings).

3 cups cold sparkling water
4 1/2 cups ice

Steps:

  • Bring 1 cup water and the sugar to a boil in a small saucepan, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Let cool completely; refrigerate until ready to use.
  • Put syrup, lemon juice, and sparkling water in a pitcher. Stir in the ice.
