Your new favorite party treat: drunken strawberries! These simple, beautiful wine-soaked strawberries are made with fresh strawberries, your favorite bubbly wine and sweet cane sugar. Skip the bottle of wine and bring these to your next party or girl's night!

2 pounds fresh strawberries
1 bottle of bubbly wine (champagne, prosecco, cava or sparkling rosé)
½ cup organic cane sugar

Steps:

  • Rinse and drain strawberries, then pour them into a large bowl or container.
  • Pour the bubbly wine over the strawberries, adding enough so that they're submerged. Cover and let the strawberries soak in the fridge for at least 1 hour, or overnight.
  • Pour cane sugar into a bowl or onto a plate.
  • Remove the strawberries from the fridge. One by one, pat the strawberries dry, coat in the organic cane sugar, and place on a serving plate.
  • Enjoy immediately! The berries will get soggy if they sit for a couple of hours.

Fresh berries are chopped, lightly crushed and marinated in a mixture of liqueurs for an amazing topping for angel food or pound cake, or a decadent mix-in to chocolate pudding! NI is per fluid oz serving - including the sweet, boozy syrup that forms.

330 g fresh strawberries, chopped roughly
2 tablespoons chocolate liqueur (I used Godiva)
2 tablespoons cherry flavored liqueur (I used Nalewka Babuni Cherry Wine)
1/4 cup Grand Marnier

Steps:

  • Place strawberries in a bowl and lightly crush with a potato masher or fork. Add fruit and it's juices to a jar.
  • Add Godiva liqueur, Nalewka Babuni Cherry Wine and Grand Marnier.
  • Screw on the lid tightly and shake well.
  • Let sit in fridge at least 1 week, shaking the jar every other day.
  • If storing longer (it gets better as it sits!), shake jar 1-2 times a week.
