This fabulous spicy sauce is incredibly easy to make! You can use this smoky, zippy sauce on chicken wings/drumettes, and other proteins.

1/4 c unsalted butter
6 Tbsp frank's® hot sauce
3/4 Tbsp white vinegar
1/2 tsp worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp cholula® hot sauce, or any of your choice
1/8 tsp garlic powder
1/8 tsp smoked paprika
1/8 tsp chipotle chili powder
12-15 large chicken wings or drumettes

Steps:

  • 1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine all the ingredients. Bring to a simmer, whisking occasionally. Remove from heat and keep it warm until ready to serve. Just before serving, whisk again until all the ingredients are combined again.
  • 2. Pour half of the sauce over cooked drumettes/wings and transfer chicken back to the oven (temperature off). Remove after 10 minutes and pour the rest of the sauce over. Serve immediately.

BUFFALO WINGS WITH BLUE CHEESE DIPPING SAUCE



Buffalo Wings with Blue Cheese Dipping Sauce image

Crispy BBQ chicken wings bathed in a tangy hot sauce and served with a soothing creamy blue cheese dip.

2.2 lbs chicken wings
1 ½ tsp baking powder
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp fine table salt
¼ tsp black pepper (finely ground)
½ cup Franks Red Hot Sauce
½ cup unsalted butter
5 oz blue cheese
¼ cup mayonnaise
¼ cup sour cream
1 clove of garlic (crushed)
1 tbsp lemon juice

Steps:

  • Separate your wings into flats and drumettes using a sharp knife.
  • Dry the wings with a paper towel, the dryer you get them the crispier the skin will be, and place in a bowl.
  • Mix the seasoning ingredients together, add to the bowl and toss to coat the wings.
  • Get your BBQ up to temp of around 450°F plus for air frying.
  • Cook wings for 45 minutes using high indirect heat to allow fat to render and skin to crisp up.
  • Mix up the blue cheese ingredients in a food processor.
  • Melt butter in a saucepan and add hot sauce and whisk until butter is melted.
  • Take the wings off the heat and place in a bowl. Add the hot sauce and stir gently to coat the wings.
  • Allow to cool for 5 minutes and enjoy.
