1 (10.75 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
2 ½ cups milk
8 ounces uncooked penne pasta
1 ½ cups French-fried onions, divided
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
1 cup frozen peas

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Cut sausage into 1/4-inch slices.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat for 3 minutes. Add sausage; cook and stir for 3 to 4 minutes or until lightly browned.
  • Combine soup and milk in a 13x9-inch baking dish. Stir in uncooked pasta, sausage, 1/2 cup French-fried onions, 1/2 cup cheese and peas. Cover baking dish tightly with foil.
  • Bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and top with remaining 1 cup French-fried onions and 1/2 cup cheese. Bake for 3 minutes or until cheese is melted. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

1 pound smoked sausage, cut into 1/4-inch slices
1-1/2 cups 2% milk
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cream of celery soup, undiluted
1-1/2 cups cheddar french-fried onions, divided
1 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese, divided
1 cup frozen peas

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375°. Cook pasta according to package directions., Meanwhile, in a large skillet, brown sausage over medium heat 5 minutes; drain. In a large bowl, combine milk and soup. Stir in 1/2 cup onions, 1/2 cup cheese, peas and sausage. Drain pasta; stir into sausage mixture., Transfer to a greased 13x9-in. baking dish. Cover and bake until bubbly, 25-30 minutes.
