I copied this from The Orlando Sentinel months ago and just now found it. We eat pork chops at least once a week and this is our favorite.

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 -4 pork chops, 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch thick
1/4 cup chicken broth
1/8 cup honey
1/8 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon ketchup
1/4 teaspoon ginger
1/8 teaspoon garlic salt

Steps:

  • Brown chops on both sides.
  • Place in greased casserole dish.
  • Mix all remaining ingredients and pour over pork chops.
  • Bake, uncovered, at 350 for one hour.

So yummy, so easy, and so cheap. The story is that my father-in-law made this up. It's the most asked for dinner by my kids. We usually serve with mac and cheese. Makes enough to serve our family of 6 w/large portions and to have left overs for tomorrow (which are always eaten).

2 lbs hamburger
3 (15 ounce) cans pork and beans
1 (14 ounce) bottle barbecue sauce (a large bottle)

Steps:

  • cook beef, drain. Add beans and then barbecue sauce. The amount of sauce depends on your taste. Add 3/4 of the bottle, stir, taste and then add more if needed.
  • Heat and serve!

"SLOP" (A YUMMY PORK CHOP RECIPE)



This is a recipe that my Grandmother always referred to simply as slop, but don't let the name fool you. It is a simple and delicious comfort food!!

Number Of Ingredients 6

4 - pork chops (with or without the bone you pick)
1 can(s) cut green beans
1 can(s) yellow wax beans
1 12oz package(s) frozen sliced carrots
1 can(s) cream of mushroom soup
1/2 can(s) milk (using the soup can for measurement)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven for 350 degrees Season your pork chops with a bit of salt and pepper then pan sear them in a bit of butter in a frying pan for 3-4 minutes per side.
  • Place pork chops in a baking dish, then add the two types of beans and carrots on top of that.
  • Mix your soup with the milk and pour this on top of everything in your baking dish.
  • Cover the pan and bake for 30 minutes. This is good served with your favorite mashed potatoes or with noodles or rice if you can't do potatoes.
