QUICK, SIMPLE AND JUST PLAIN GOOD...I was craving hot chocolate one night and just started experimenting with this. You can use regular milk and real sugar if you want in substitution but its not necessary at all!

1 cup water
1/2-1 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa
8 (1 g) packets Splenda sugar substitute
1 1/2 tablespoons fat free chocolate soymilk
1 tablespoon sugar-free chocolate syrup

Steps:

  • add cocoa powder and splenda to bottom of mug and mix together.
  • add water (do not use hot water or this won't taste right).
  • microwave on high for 1 minute.
  • remove from microwave and add milk and syrup, stir.
  • microwave for 45 seconds more.
  • stir and enjoy!

2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons unsweetened baking cocoa
2 1/2 cups fat-free (skim) milk
1/2 cup fat-free half-and-half
1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips (1 1/2 oz)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Steps:

  • In 2-quart saucepan, mix sugar and cocoa. Stir in milk and half-and-half until blended. Cook and stir over medium heat until thoroughly heated (do not boil). Remove from heat.
  • Add chocolate chips; stir constantly with wire whisk until chips are melted and mixture is smooth. Stir in vanilla. To serve, pour hot chocolate into 4 cups.
