Steps:
- Heat vegetable oil in a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat; cook and stir beef until browned, 3 to 4 minutes. Move beef to the side of the wok and add broccoli, bell pepper, carrots, green onion, and garlic to the center of the wok. Cook and stir vegetables for 2 minutes.
- Stir beef into vegetables and season with soy sauce and sesame seeds. Continue to cook and stir until vegetables are tender, about 2 more minutes.

SLOW-COOKER PEPPER STEAK
Very tender and flavorful, this recipe is one of our family's favorites. It's great to make ahead of time in the slow cooker and then serve over rice, egg noodles, or chow mein.

Steps:
- Sprinkle strips of sirloin with garlic powder to taste. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the vegetable oil and brown the seasoned beef strips. Transfer to a slow cooker.
- Mix bouillon cube with hot water until dissolved, then mix in cornstarch until dissolved. Pour into the slow cooker with meat. Stir in onion, green peppers, stewed tomatoes, soy sauce, sugar, and salt.
- Cover, and cook on High for 3 to 4 hours, or on Low for 6 to 8 hours.

KICKY STEAK STRIPS WITH RICE
This was made originally by an old housemate of mine. When I moved, I took it with me. It's a great, spicy favorite with me and my fiance.

- In a medium container, mix Worcestershire sauce and mustard. Place steak strips in the mixture. Cover, and marinate in the refrigerator at least 30 minutes.
- Place rice and water in a medium saucepan, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and cook 20 minutes.
- Heat olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the onion and garlic, and cook until tender. Season with pepper. Place steak into the saucepan and cook 5 to 7 minutes on each side, to desired doneness. Discard remaining marinade. Serve over the cooked rice.

- In a shallow dish, combine the first six ingredients. Cut steak into four wide strips; add to the marinade and turn to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 2-3 hours or overnight, turning once., Drain and discard marinade. Wrap a bacon strip around each steak piece; secure with a toothpick. Sprinkle with lemon-pepper. Lightly oil the grill rack., Grill steak, covered, over medium-low heat or broil 4 in. from the heat for 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until meat reaches desired doneness (for medium-rare, a thermometer should read 135°; medium, 140°; medium-well, 145°). , Combine the glaze ingredients; brush over steaks. - In a saucepan bring water to a boil. Add rice and stir. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Meanwhile, slice beef into very thin strips.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cornstarch, broth, soy sauce, sugar and garlic powder. Mix thoroughly.
- In a large skillet, over medium/high heat, saute the beef strips until browned and juices evaporate.
- Stir broccoli and cornstarch mixture into meat. Cook until mixture boils and thickens, stirring frequently. Serve over the cooked rice.

BRAISED SIRLOIN TIPS OVER RICE
A wonderful way to cook the less tender cuts of beef. Braising makes the meat very tender. We love to make this dish because it is very tasty.

Steps:
- Brown beef in hot oil.
- Mix together and add bouillon, wine, garlic, onion, soy sauce and mushrooms.
- Bring to a boil, reduce heat; cover and simmer 1 hour or until meat is tender.
- Add water chestnuts and pea pods.
- Blend cornstarch and water; stir in gradually to meat mixture.
- Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils.
- Boil and stir 1 minute.
- Serve immediately over rice or noodles.
- You may leave out the soy sauce, pea pods and water chestnuts, and add 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce instead.
