This is one of those great desserts that everyone wants to know how you make. I ate it at book club and had to have the recipe. It's fairly simple but delicious.

Steps:
- Prepare an 11 x 7-inch baking pan.
- in a bowl, mix all crust ingredients.
- Pat lightly into the baking pan.
- Refrigerate for 1 hour.
- Meanwhile, with an electric hand mixer, mix the cream cheese and icing sugar until well blended (about 2 minutes).
- Fold in (do not beat) 2 cups Cool Whip thawed topping.
- Remove the crust from the fridge; spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the crust.
- Return back to the fridge.
- (At this point, the dessert may be left covered in the fridge overnight, and the last stage may be finished the next day if desided) Prepare the pudding mix on top of the stove in a heavy-bottomed saucepan, (be careful not to scotch the bottom) or it can be prepared in the microwave, (my prevrence is the microwave, as I always seem to end up with a scortched saucepan bottom) Leave sit in the fridge for 1 hour to thicken and cool.
- After 1 hour, slice the bananas into pieces.
- Remove the dessert from the fridge; place the banana slices evenly over the cream cheese layer.
- Gently spread the prepared pudding over the bananas.
- Top with 2 cups (or more) Cool Whip topping.
- Refrigerate for 2 hours before serving.
- Note: do not replace the pudding and pie filling with instant pudding for this dessert, it will not hold up, and will run all over when the dessert is sliced.

Steps:
- It's Dangerous to let myself near the kitchen on Gloomy, Rainy Days.. I am compelled to "Make" Something.. or many "Somethings".. Here's a New dessert I concocted.. Hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it!!! It's SCRUMPTIOUS! this is a layered dessert, keep in the fridge.. Banana Cream "Simply Divine" Crust: 2 c. Crushed Vanilla Wafers (reserve about 16 cookies) 1/2 c. (stick) of Real butter melted put butter into 13x9" pan mix well & press into the pan.. chill First layer: 2 eggs 2 sticks of Real Butter 2 1/2 c. powdered sugar blend eggs & butter until smooth, add sugar a little at a time while mixing.. when smooth, whip on high 'til fluffy set aside Second layer: 2 boxes instant banana pudding mix 2 1/2 c. Whipping cream 1 1/2 c. half & half put cream into clean bowl add pudding mix slowly while mixing on low speed when all is incorporated scrape down sides of bowl & whip on High 'til stiff peaks form. Here's what else you'll need: 4 bananas sliced into 1/4" rounds 2 cups of Fresh whipped Cream or large tub of frozen whipped topping.. Here's What to Do: 1.take the chilled crust & start dolloping the first layer onto the crust.. carefully spread over entire crust..I used a pastry tube & eclair tube to spread it..making large shells.. looks pretty 2. take the sliced bananas & lay them onto the layer 'til completely covered 'til all covered 3. Top with the Fresh Whipped Cream or "Cool Whip".. take 8 of the cookies, place them down the center of the dessert crush the remaining 8 cookies to sprinkle on the dessert... Drizzle w/ White Chocolate Sauce.. chill for a few hours.. but overnight is best.. Enjoy: Rita Patton Hunter
