SHRIMP VERSAILLES

3 tablespoons margarine
2 tablespoons sliced green onion
1 ½ pounds fresh shrimp, shelled and deveined without tails
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, cubed
3 tablespoons milk
½ cup shredded Swiss cheese
2 tablespoons dry white wine
⅛ teaspoon ground red pepper
¼ cup fine dry bread crumbs
2 tablespoons melted margarine

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to BROIL. Lightly grease a 1 to 1 1/2 quart baking dish.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 3 tablespoons of margarine and saute the green onions. Toss in shrimp and saute until pink, about 5 minutes.
  • Remove shrimp with slotted spoon and set aside. Add cream cheese and milk to skillet, stirring constantly until cheese melts. Stir in Swiss cheese, wine, cooked shrimp, and red pepper. Cook until all cheese is melted and shrimp are heated through.
  • Pour mixture into prepared baking dish. Combine bread crumbs and 2 tablespoons of melted margarine, sprinkle over shrimp mixture.
  • Broil for 1 to 2 minutes or until golden brown.

2 lb unpeeled large fresh shrimp
2 green onions, sliced
3 Tbsp butter or margarine, melted
1 pkg cream cheese, cubed, 8 oz.
1/4 c milk
1/2 c Shredded swiss cheese, 2 oz
1/4 c dry white wine
1 dash(es) ground red pepper
1/4 c fine dry bread crumbs (store bought)
2 Tbsp butter or margarine, melted
12 oz dried angel hair pasta

Steps:

  • 1. Peel shrimp. Devein in desired
  • 2. Cook green onions in 3 Tbsp. butter in large skillet over medium heat til tender. Add shrimp. Cook over medium heat 5 minutes or til shrimp turn pink, stirring occasionally Remove shrimp with a slotted spoon
  • 3. Add cream cheese and milk to skillet; cook over low heat, stirring constantly, til cheese melts. Stir in Swiss cheese and wine. Add shrimp and red pepper; cook, stirring constantly just til heated. Pour shrimp mixture into a lightly greased 1 1/2 quart casserole. Mix breadcrumbs and 2 Tbsp. butter; sprinkle over casserole. Broil 5 1/2 inches from heat 3 to 5 minutes or til golden. serve shrimp mixture over hot cooked pasta. Makes 6 servings.

1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup swiss cheese, grated
1/4 cup dry white wine
1 dash ground red pepper
1/4 cup dry breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons butter, melted
12 ounces angel hair pasta, cooked

Steps:

  • Cook green onions in 3 Tbsp of butter in a large skillet over medium heat until tender.
  • Add shrimp& cook over medium heat 5 minutes or until shrimp turn pink-stir occasionally.
  • Remove shrimp with slotted spoon.
  • Add cream cheese& milk to skillet& cook over low heat.
  • Stir constantly until cheese melts.
  • Stir in swiss cheese& wine.
  • Add shrimp& red pepper.
  • Stir constantly until heated.
  • Pour shrimp mixture into a lightly greased casserole dish.
  • Combine breadcrumbs& butter.
  • Sprinkle over casserole.
  • Broil 3 to 5 minutes or until golden.
  • Serve shrimp over cooked pasta.
