1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
6 tablespoons cold butter
1 cup finely shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup sesame seeds, toasted
6 to 7-1/2 teaspoons ice water, divided
1/2 teaspoon soy sauce

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, whisk flour, salt and cayenne; cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in cheese and sesame seeds. Combine 3 teaspoons water and soy sauce; stir into dry ingredients with a fork. Stir in enough remaining water until dough forms a ball. Wrap in plastic; refrigerate 1 hour or until firm., Preheat oven to 400°. On a floured surface, roll dough into a 14x11-in. rectangle. Cut into 2x1-in. strips. Place on lightly greased baking sheets. Bake 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Remove to wire racks to cool.

1 pinch salt
1 ½ teaspoons red pepper flakes
1 pound Cheddar cheese, grated and room temperature
1 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 cups crispy rice cereal (such as Rice Krispies®)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C).
  • Combine flour, salt, and red pepper flakes in large bowl; add Cheddar cheese. Toss until cheese is coated. Pour in melted butter; stir until mixture is moist and crumbly. Add rice cereal and knead by hand until dough is well blended.

1/3 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons poppy seeds
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup plus 2 tablespoons warm water, divided
1/3 cup canola oil
1 large egg white
TOPPING:
2 tablespoons shredded Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
1 tablespoon poppy seeds

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400°. In a small bowl, combine the first 6 ingredients. Gradually add 2/3 cup water and oil, tossing with a fork until dough forms a ball. Turn onto a lightly floured surface; knead 8-10 times., Divide dough in half. Roll each ball directly on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray into a 12x9-in. rectangle. 1/4 cup soy flour
1/4 cup ground sesame seeds
salt
1/3 cup olive oil
1/2 cup water

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Stir together whole wheat flour and soy flour, sesame seeds, and salt.
  • Add oil and blend in well, then add enough water to make the dough soft enough to roll out very easily into a thin sheet.
  • Gather the dough into a ball, then roll out to 1/8 inch thick.

1 cup unsalted butter, softened
2-1/2 cups shredded extra-sharp cheddar cheese
2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2-1/2 cups Rice Krispies
Pecan halves, optional

Steps:

  • Beat butter and cheese until blended. In another bowl, whisk flour, salt and cayenne; gradually beat into cheese mixture. Stir in Rice Krispies. If necessary, turn onto a lightly floured surface and knead 4-6 times, forming a stiff dough., Divide dough in half; shape each into a 7-in.-long roll. Wrap and refrigerate 1 hour or overnight., Preheat oven to 350°. Unwrap and cut dough crosswise into 1/4-in. slices. Place 1 in. apart on parchment-lined baking sheets. If desired, top each slice with a pecan half. Bake until edges are golden brown, 14-16 minutes. Remove from pans to wire racks to cool. To Make Ahead: Dough can be made 2 days in advance. 1 pound shredded Cheddar cheese
1 cup butter, softened
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups crisp rice cereal
½ teaspoon salt
2 dashes Worcestershire sauce
1 pinch garlic powder
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
freshly ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • In a large bowl, combine cheese, butter or margarine, flour, crispy rice cereal, salt, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and black pepper. Mix well and form small balls out of the dough (the dough will yield approximately 55 balls). Flatten each ball of dough with your fingertips until the dough is very thin and arrange the discs on a cookie sheet.
  • Bake for 12 minutes; or until the Cheese Crispies are golden and slightly brown around the edges. Enjoy!
