Number Of Ingredients 10

2 cups coarsly chopped cabbage
1 cup baby carrots, cut lengthwise into fourths
1 cup uncooked wild rice, rinsed and drained
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
3 cups mushrooms, sliced
1 lb boneless skinless chicken thighs or 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into 1 inch pieces
1/2 lb sweet Italian sausage link, cut into 1 inch pieces
2 (14 ounce) cans chicken broth
1 can cream of mushroom soup

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients except broth and soup in a 4 qt crock pot.
  • Mix broth and soup in a bowl.
  • Pour broth mixture over meat and vegetables; stir gently until blended.
  • Cover and cook on low heat for 6 to 8 hours or until chicken is no longer pink in the center.

1 package (14 ounces) smoked turkey kielbasa, halved lengthwise and sliced
1 large sweet onion, chopped
2 shallots, chopped
1 tablespoon chopped pickled jalapeno slices
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon canola oil
2 cups water
1 can (14-1/2 ounces) reduced-sodium chicken broth
2 cans (15 ounces each) cannellini beans, rinsed and drained
1 cup uncooked long grain rice
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 cups fresh baby spinach

Steps:

  • In a Dutch oven, saute the kielbasa, onion, shallots, jalapeno and garlic in oil until onion is tender. Add the water, broth, beans, rice and seasonings. Bring to a boil., Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until rice is tender. Stir in spinach. Cook 5 minutes longer or until spinach is wilted.
