Steps:
- In a medium-sized skillet, over medium heat, brown the sausage and onion for three minutes.
- Add the carrots and cabbage and continue cooking for seven more minutes, or until the cabbage and carrots are tender.
- Salt and pepper the sausage mixture, to taste, before spooning into lettuce leaves to serve.
- Top with sliced scallions and serve with Sriracha, or soy sauce for dipping.

- Place cornstarch in a shallow bowl. In a large bowl, combine the next 7 ingredients. Add beef and pork; mix lightly but thoroughly. - In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add whole wheat flour, brown sugar, salt and vanilla; beat until smooth. Add enough all-purpose flour to form a soft dough. Turn onto a floured surface; knead for 6-8 minutes or until smooth and elastic. Cover and let rest 10 minutes. Roll into a 20x14-in. rectangle; cut into eight 7x5-in. pieces.
