These salted caramel brownies are perfectly fudgy and moist brownies with an oozing salted caramel center. These will be one of the best brownies you sink your teeth into!

2 cups sugar
3/4 cup baking cocoa
1 cup canola oil
4 eggs
1/4 cup 2% milk
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips (6 ounces)
14 ounces caramels (like Kraft caramels)
1 can (14 ounces sweetened condensed milk)
1 teaspoon coarse sea salt

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line a 9x13 inch pan with parchment paper or aluminum foil and spray with cooking spray. This makes cleaning up easier with the caramel.
  • In a large bowl combine the flour, salt, and baking powder. In another large bowl, beat together the sugar, cocoa, oil, eggs and milk. Add the dry ingredients until blended. Fold in chocolate chips.
  • Spoon two thirds of the batter into the greased 9x13 inch pan. Bake for 12 minutes.
  • Meanwhile prepare the caramel filling. In a microwave safe bowl, heat the caramels and sweetened condensed milk stirring 30 seconds at a time until melted and smooth. Can also melt over medium low heat in a saucepan.
  • Pour the melted caramel over the warm brownie layer. Sprinkle coarse sea salt on top. Drop remaining brownie batter over the top of the caramel and carefully swirl the top with a knife. Bake for an additional 35-40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Do not overbake. Allow the brownies to completely cool before serving. Can also garnish the brownies lightly with additional sea salt.

Number Of Ingredients 12

1/2 pound (2 sticks) unsalted butter
8 ounces plus 6 ounces Hershey's semisweet chocolate chips
3 ounces unsweetened chocolate
3 extra-large eggs
1 1/2 tablespoons instant coffee granules, such as Nescafe
1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
1 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour, divided
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
5 to 6 ounces good caramel sauce, such as Fran's
2 to 3 teaspoons flaked sea salt, such as Maldon

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Butter and flour a 9 x 12 x 1 1/2-inch baking pan.
  • Melt the butter, 8 ounces of the chocolate chips, and the unsweetened chocolate together in a medium bowl set over simmering water. Allow to cool for 15 minutes. In a large bowl, stir (do not beat) together the eggs, coffee, vanilla, and sugar. Stir the chocolate mixture into the egg mixture and allow to cool to room temperature (see note below).
  • In a medium bowl, sift together 1/2 cup of the flour, the baking powder, and salt and add to the chocolate mixture. Toss the remaining 6 ounces of chocolate chips and the remaining 2 tablespoons of flour in a medium bowl and add them to the chocolate mixture. Spread evenly in the prepared pan.
  • Bake for 35 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean. Don't overbake!
  • As soon as the brownies are out of the oven, place the jar of caramel sauce without the lid in a microwave and heat just until it's pourable. Stir until smooth. Drizzle the caramel evenly over the hot brownies and sprinkle with the sea salt. Cool completely and cut into 12 bars.

1 (397 g) package caramel candies
1/4 cup milk
1 (340 g) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 teaspoon shortening
1 cup lightly salted peanuts (or another nut, like pecans)
1 cup pretzel, gently broken

Steps:

  • The first thing you have to have is a 9x9-inch pan of brownies, boxed or your favorite recipe, baked and cooled in pan.
  • In a medium microwave-safe bowl, combine caramel candies and milk. Heat on high in 30 second bursts, stirring in-between, until melted and smooth. Pour mixture over brownies and spread to edges. Set aside to cool. When caramel has cooled and firmed up a bit, make the next layer.
  • In a medium microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate and shortening. Heat on high in 30-second bursts, stirring in-between, until melted and smooth. Add peanuts and pretzels, then stir gently.
  • Top caramel with chocolate mixture, spooning mixture over entire surface. Let cool and harden before cutting. Wrap tightly or store in an airtight container.

¾ cup vegan buttery sticks, melted
1 (18.25 ounce) package German chocolate cake mix
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
¼ cup Almond Breeze Vanilla almondmilk
⅔ cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips
¾ cup chopped walnuts
½ teaspoon coarse sea salt

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 13x9-inch baking pan. Line bottom with parchment paper; grease paper.
  • In a medium microwave-safe bowl, combine caramels and 3 tablespoons almondmilk. Microwave on High 1 minute; stir. Microwave 1 minute longer and stir until melted; set aside.
  • In a large bowl, combine melted vegan sticks, cake mix, flour and 1/4 cup almondmilk. Mix well. Spread half of mixture in bottom of pan. Bake 8 minutes.
  • Sprinkle chocolate chips over partially baked bars. Drizzle with caramel; top with nuts. Drop small dollops of remaining dough over the caramel. Bake 17 to 20 minutes or until set. Sprinkle with sea salt. Cool completely, about 2 hours.

1 3/4 cups graham cracker crumbs (about 28 squares)
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter, melted
3 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
1 cup packed brown sugar
3 eggs
3/4 cup whipping cream
1/4 cup caramel-flavored coffee syrup
1/2 cup butter
1 1/4 cups packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons caramel-flavored coffee syrup
1/2 cup whipping cream
1 1/2 teaspoons flaked sea salt

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Wrap outside bottom and side of 9-inch springform pan with heavy-duty foil to prevent leaking. Grease inside bottom and side of pan with shortening. In small bowl, mix crust ingredients. Press in bottom of pan. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until set. Reduce oven temperature to 300°F. Cool crust 10 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, in large bowl, beat cream cheese and 1 cup brown sugar with electric mixer on medium speed until smooth. Beat in eggs, one at a time, just until blended. Add 3/4 cup whipping cream and 1/4 cup coffee syrup; beat until blended. Pour filling over crust.
  • Bake at 300°F 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 20 minutes or until edge of cheesecake is set at least 2 inches from edge of pan but center of cheesecake still jiggles slightly. Turn oven off; open door 4 inches. Let cheesecake remain in oven 30 minutes. Run small metal spatula around edge of pan to loosen cheesecake. Cool in pan on cooling rack 30 minutes. Refrigerate at least 6 hours or overnight.
  • In 2-quart saucepan, melt 1/2 cup butter over medium heat. Add 1 1/4 cups brown sugar and 2 tablespoons coffee syrup. Heat to boiling; cook and stir 1 minute until sugar dissolves. Stir in 1/2 cup whipping cream; return to boiling. Remove from heat. Cool 10 minutes.
  • To serve, run small metal spatula around edge of springform pan; carefully remove foil and side of pan. Cut cheesecake into slices. Drizzle caramel sauce over slices; sprinkle with salt. Cover; refrigerate any remaining cheesecake.
