1 tablespoon lime juice
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
salt, pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
1 serrano chili, seeded and chopped
1/4 cup chopped cilantro
1 avocado, peeled,seeded and mashed
1 tomatoes, chopped

  • combine all ingredients in a bowl, stir well, serve immediately.

4 small-medium tomatillos, husked, cored and coarsely chopped
1 large shallot, coarsely chopped
1 small jalapeno chile, cored, seeded and coarsely chopped
2 tablespoons coarsely chopped cilantro
1 garlic clove, coarsely chopped, optional
1 teaspoon fresh lime juice
1/4 teasopon ground cumin
1 medium-size ripe avocado, peeled, pitted and finely chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
Tortilla chips

Steps:

  • Place tomatillos, shallot, chile, cilantro, garlic, lime juice and cumin in the bowl of food processor fitted with steel blade. Pulse with on/off turns until tomatillos and shallot are finely chopped. Remove from the food processor to serving bowl. Stir in avocado. Season wtih salt and pepper.

This salsa is tried and true. I developed it over a number of years and I always get compliments when I make it. Warning: Salsamole is addicting! Sometimes I like it chunky and sometimes I make it smoother. Enjoy!

3 jalapeno peppers, minced, or to taste
2 serrano peppers, minced, or to taste
1 habanero pepper, minced, or to taste
¾ yellow onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced, or to taste
3 avocados - peeled, pitted, and cubed
3 Roma tomatoes, chopped
1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes
1 lemon, juiced
salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil, or to taste

Steps:

  • Combine the jalapeno peppers, serrano peppers, habanero pepper, onion, garlic, avocados, Roma tomatoes, diced tomatoes, and lemon juice into a food processor. Drizzle in the olive oil; season to taste with salt and pepper. Pulse until the salsamole has reached your desired consistency.
