A tart and sweet limeade made with only three ingredients, sugar, water, and lime.

4 cups water
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup fresh squeezed lime juice

Steps:

  • Start by adding water and sugar to a medium saucepan and heating on high heat. Boil until sugar has fully dissolved stirring constantly. It typically takes about 2 minutes to dissolve. Take of the heat and place in the refrigerator until cool.
  • Combine simple syrup mixture with the lime juice. Serve over ice. Garnish with extra slices of lime.

9 cups water
2 cups freshly squeezed lime juice (about 20 limes)
2 cups superfine sugar
10 thin slices fresh ginger, peeled

Steps:

  • In a pitcher, whisk together all the ingredients until the sugar dissolves. Let steep at least 1 hour to bring out the ginger flavor. Serve over ice.

BAJA-STYLE LIMEADE

3 cups water
3/4 cup agave syrup, plus extra, as needed
1 tablespoon coarsely chopped fresh rosemary leaves
1 cup freshly squeezed lime juice (about 8 limes)
1/2 cup agave syrup or other natural sweetener
Ice

Steps:

  • In a medium saucepan bring 1 cup of water, 3/4 cup agave syrup, and rosemary to a boil over medium-high heat. Remove the pan from the heat and cool for 10 minutes. Strain the mixture into a pitcher. Add the lime juice and remaining 2 cups water. Stir and sweeten, to taste, with agave syrup. Serve in glasses filled with ice.
