CROCK POT ROUND STEAK CASSEROLE

Easy and delicious crock pot recipe. I don't know what I'd do without my crock pot. It's a lifesaver.

2 lbs round steaks, 1/2 inch thick
1 onion, thinly sliced
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can French style green beans, drained
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can tomato soup
garlic salt
4 potatoes, quartered
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can whole peeled tomatoes
salt and pepper

Steps:

  • Season round steak lightly with garlic salt, salt and pepper.
  • Cut into serving pieces and place in bottom of crockpot.
  • Separate onion rings and place on top of steak.
  • Add potatoes and green beans (drained).
  • Top with tomato soup and tomatoes.
  • Cover and cook on high for 6-8 hours.
  • If too much liquid, remove cover for the last half hour.

Number Of Ingredients 13

1 lb round steak, cut into one-inch cubes
3 tablespoons shortening
3 small onions, sliced thin
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Dash of thyme
Dash of garlic powder
2 cups water
3 tablespoons flour
Thinly sliced potatoes
1 teaspoon salt
1 stick margarine
Paprika

Steps:

  • Flour meat, brown in shortening and stir until tender. Pour into ungreased 9X13 pan, baking dish. Sprinkle w/ flour. Add salt, pepper, thyme, garlic powder, onion and water. Bake in a 350 F oven for 60 minutes. Increase temp to 400 F. and arrange thinly sliced potatoes, sprinked with salt, butter and paprika, over the top. Bake 30 minutes longer.

2 lbs lean round steak, tenderized
creole seasoning
3 tablespoons oil
1 onion, chopped
1 cup uncooked rice
1 (14 ounce) can beef broth
1 1/3 cups water
1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 green bell pepper, julienned
1 red sweet bell pepper, julienned
1 (7 ounce) can chopped green chilies (optional)

Steps:

  • Trim fat off edges of steak and cut into serving size pieces.
  • Season with creole seasoning.
  • Pour oil in large skillet and brown steak well.
  • Place in a greased 9x13 dish.
  • In large bowl stir together onion, rice, beef broth, water, parsley flakes, garlic powder, salt, worcestershire, bell peppers and green chilies.
  • Pour over steak in baking dish.
  • Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until rice is cooked.

2 pounds Round Steak
Garlic Salt, Salt & Pepper
1 Onion, thinly sliced
3-4 Potatoes, peeled & quartered
1-2 Cans French Style Green Beans
1 - 10 oz. Can of Tomato Soup
1 Pound Can Tomatoes (peeled and whole)

Steps:

  • Season Round Steak lightly with garlic salt, salt and pepper. Cut into serving size pieces and place in CROCK POT with sliced onion. Add potatoes and green beans. Top with tomato soup and tomatoes. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours. Remove cover during last half hour if too much liquid.

I have been using this recipe since 1970's. I love it because It's an easy recipe and will makes a nice meal by adding a salad. It is usually requested when my children come to visit.

1 round steak cubed
1 can(s) campbell's beef broth
1 can(s) mushrooms, canned bits $ pieces
1 medium onion chopped
2 stick butter
1 c uncooked rice( not instant)
2 c flour
2 tsp salt

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut steak into cubes. Put oil in skillet to heat. Flour the cubed steak and brown in oil.
  • 2. While the steak is browning, place 1whole stick butter in a 11x13 baking pan and place in oven until melted.
  • 3. When butter is melted remove from oven and add the steak,beef broth, mushrooms,chopped onion, and rice. Stir to mix together.
  • 4. Seal with foil tightly and place back in oven. Bake 1hour NO PEEKING!
