8 oz. sour cream
1/4 pound blue cheese broken up
5 tablespoons mayonnaise
2 tablespoons white vinegar
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 tsp. accent
1/8 tsp. pepper

Steps:

  • 1. In a large measuring cup or batter bowl, something with a spout or able to pour from, mix all ingdients together. Add a little milk if too thick. Chill before serving. Great on lettuce or greens salads and/or vegetable dip.

This recipe is equally as good with either the blue cheese or the roquefort type cheeses.

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 pint(s) best foods mayonaise
1/2 pint(s) sour cream
1 package(s) 3 or 4 oz crumbled blue cheese or roquefort cheese
- salt, pepper, garlic powder and celery seed to taste

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients together then put in the refrigerator for about an hour. Taste it as it tends to get stronger once it's been chilled. Add a little more this or that as needed. If it tends to be to thick before serving, just add a little water. Great on salads but also makes a great veg. dip. Put in air tight container and it will last for weeks. Enjoy

Yield 3 cups

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 cups mayonnaise
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons grated onion
1/4 cup sour cream
1 tablespoon parsley flakes
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1/2 pound blue cheese or Roquefort, crumbled
salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients in a large bowl with a wire whisk. Refrigerate.

3 tablespoons white vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
1/2 cup olives or vegetable oil, or 1/4 cup of each

Steps:

  • * Use Basic French or Vinaigrette Dressing (see below) as a base for this vegetable salad variation. Basic French or Vinaigrette Dressing * In a small bowl, mix vinegar, salt, and pepper let stand 1 to 2 minutes to dissolve. Adding oil slowly, stir or whisk until well blended. Vinegar, salt, and pepper can be adjusted according to taste. Shake or stir before serving. Add 1/4 cup crumbled Roquefort or blue cheese to basic dressing.
