1 package (8 oz.) spaghetti
1 lb ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
Salt & pepper
1 can (15 oz.) diced tomatoes
1/2 lb Kraft Cubed Cheddar Cheese (8 oz.)

Steps:

  • Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Drain. Brown ground beef & chopped onion. Season to taste with salt & pepper.
  • In a 1 1/2 qt casserole dish; place spaghetti, ground beef mixture, tomatoes and cheese.
  • Bake 30 minutes covered, 15 minutes uncovered at 350°F.

1/2 to 3/4 cup simple syrup (see Cook's Note)
2 cups loosely packed fresh mint leaves, plus more sprigs for garnish
2 cups amaro, such as Averna
2 cups dark rum
2 cups sweet vermouth
1 1/2 cups fresh lemon juice
1/2 cup fresh orange juice, plus an orange wedge, for garnish
Club soda, for topping off

Steps:

  • Put the simple syrup and mint leaves in a pitcher and muddle with a wooden spoon. Fill the pitcher with ice, then add the amaro, rum, sweet vermouth, lemon juice and orange juice. Pour into a tumbler filled with ice. Top with club soda and garnish with mint sprigs and the orange wedge.

1 lb spaghetti, cooked
1 lb ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
2 (28 ounce) cans tomato puree
1 lb American cheese or 1 lb cheddar cheese, cubed or shredded
1/4 cup margarine
salt and pepper

Steps:

  • Cook spaghetti until tender.
  • Brown ground beef with chopped onion.
  • Stir beef,cheese,tomato and salt and pepper to taste into spaghetti and mix well.
  • Dot with margarine.
  • Bake, covered,@ 350 for 45 minutes.

A dear friend of mine shared her recipe for roman holiday. I never heard of it before but now i make it all the time. I changed the recipe a bit. She srves hers with a side of meatballs, My version has ground beef right in for a easy one pot meal.

1 box 16oz small to med shells
1 pound ground beef
2-3 c fav marinara
2 c ricotta cheese
1 c parmesan cheese
2 c mozzarella cheese
1/2 c each chopped onions &green pepper
1 egg

Steps:

  • 1. Cook ground beef w/onions & peppers, drain and add your sauce to mixture. Save a little sauce for topping. Parboil pasta eldente. Add to meat sauce.
  • 2. mix ricotta with one egg s&p and 1/2 cup parm. Start layer like lasagna. Start with sprayed baking pan, first pasta, then ricotta then mozz. Prolly about two-3 layers. Top with some extra sauce Mozz and parm.
  • 3. Bake uncover in 350 oven for 30 min.

8 mint leaves, plus sprig for serving
1/2 ounces simple syrup
1 ounce Averna Amaro Siciliano
1 ounce Italian sweet vermouth (such as Carpano Antica Formula)
3/4 ounces fresh lemon juice
Lemon wedge (for serving)

Steps:

  • Muddle mint leaves and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker. Add amaro, vermouth, and lemon juice; fill shaker with ice. Shake until outside of shaker is frosty, about 30 seconds. Strain into a rocks glass filled with ice and garnish with mint sprig and lemon wedge.

Pinot Grigio is an excellent choice of wine for this recipe. Use Prosecco (an Italian sparkling wine) instead of club soda. This recipe calls for Lemoncello for the lemon liqueur. From a recipe book called Sangria.

2 ripe peaches, pitted and sliced
1 cup red seedless grapes, halved
1 cup green seedless grape, halved
2 lemon slices
2 ounces peach brandy
1 ounce lemon liqueur
1 tablespoon sugar
1 (750 ml) bottle dry white wine
12 ounces club soda
3 cups ice cubes

Steps:

  • In a large glass pitcher, combine the peach slices, grapes and lemon slices.
  • Add the peach brandy, and sugar, and stir until the sugar has dissolved.
  • Slowly pour in the white wine, stirring gently.
  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or as long as overnight.
  • When ready to serve, add the Prosecco and stir gently.
  • Fill glasses with ice.
  • Slowly pour sangria into glasses allowing the fruit pieces to fall into the glasses.

1/2 cup chopped onion
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 1/2 cups canned tomatoes
4 cups cooked spaghetti
1 cup grated cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)

Steps:

  • Brown hamburger, onion, salt and pepper.
  • Add canned tomatoes.
  • Place layer of spaghetti in casserole dish.
  • Add half of meat and half of cheese.
  • Repeat layers until all ingredients are used ending with cheese.
