SLOW-COOKER CABBAGE, POTATOES AND BACON
You don't have to be Irish to enjoy cabbage with potatoes, and while this is a great dish for St. Patrick's Day, you can also enjoy it year-round. One of the best ways to appreciate cabbage and potatoes is straight from the slow cooker, after they've had a long simmer with bacon and Irish beer, of course. During the cooking process, the smoky, salty and umami bacon flavors melt into the cabbage and potatoes, and everything comes out perfectly cooked.

PORK AND CABBAGE DINNER
I put on this pork roast in the morning to avoid that evening dinner rush so common on busy weeknights. All I do is fix a side of family-favorite potatoes and we can sit down to a satisfying supper.-Trina Hinkel, Minneapolis, Minnesota

ROASTED POTATOES, LEEKS AND CABBAGE
Plain old cabbage becomes a delight when roasted alongside potatoes and leeks. Roasting vegetables has become increasingly popular, because it really turns the ordinary into the extraordinary. The leeks really add a mild onion flavor to make this dish extra-tasty. Sometime, I also throw in some baby carrots too.
