SUNNY ORANGE LEMONADE
Here's a beverage that'll really hit the spot. Filled with tangy goodness, it quenches your thirst any time of year. I like to use tree-ripened lemons and oranges that are so abundant here in Florida.-Martha Schwartz, Sarasota, Florida

- In a small saucepan, bring 1-1/4 cups water and sugar to a boil. Reduce heat. Simmer for 10 minutes; cool. , Transfer to a pitcher; add lemon and orange juices and zests. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. , Stir in the remaining water. Serve over ice. Garnish with lemon if desired.

- In a large saucepan, combine sugar and 2-1/2 cups water; cook and stir over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Cool slightly., Stir in citrus zest and juices. Let stand, covered, 1 hour. Strain syrup; refrigerate, covered, until cold., To serve, fill glasses or pitcher with equal amounts of fruit syrup and water. Add ice and serve.

This is a snap to put together and you can't tell you started with a drink mix! It also works well as a mixer for summertime "adult" drinks. The orange flower water gives it a lightly floral character. I drink this all day long in the dog days of summer.
