This is the one Jell-O® salad I think of when the holidays roll around. There is always roomfor J-E-L-L-O!

1 (16 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained
1 (16 ounce) container small curd cottage cheese
1 (12 ounce) container frozen whipped topping (such as Cool Whip®), thawed
1 (3 ounce) package lime-flavored gelatin mix (such as Jell-O®)

Steps:

  • Stir pineapple, cottage cheese, and whipped topping together in a bowl; sprinkle gelatin mix over the top and stir until well-mixed. Refrigerate until chilled and set, at least 2 hours.

1 box(es) lemon jell-o (3 oz box)
2 cup(s) hot water
4 bunch(es) (handfuls) mini marshmallows
1/2 cup(s) grated cheese
1/4 cup(s) chopped celery
1/4 cup(s) pecans, in pieces
1 cup(s) cream, whipped
1/4 cup(s) mayonnaise
1 box(es) strawberry jell-o (3 oz box)
2 cup(s) hot water

Steps:

  • Dissolve Jell-O in hot water; add marshmallows; stir until dissolved and begins to gel. Then add grated cheese, celery and walnuts. Add whipped cream and mix with mayonnaise. Put into a loaf pan
  • Mix strawberry Jell-O and 2 cups hot water. Chill until it begins to gel, then pour over top of salad in loaf pan.
  • Cut into squares when set; serve on a lettuce leaf.

2 (3 ounce) packages cherry Jell-O
1 cup water
1 cup red cinnamon candies
1 (15 1/2 ounce) can crushed pineapple in juice
8 ounces cream cheese
2 tablespoons milk
1/2 cup nuts (chopped)

Steps:

  • Dissolve red hots in water over low heat, stirring all the time. Add jello, stirring to dissolve. Add pineapple with juice. Pour half in clear loaf pan. Chill until firm. Reserve rest til later.
  • Soften cream cheese with milk to spreading consistency. Add nuts and spread on firm jello mixture covering completely. Add reserved jello mixture and chill until firm.

My grandma made this for EVERY family get together. She's gone now but the recipe lives on. It sounds weird but it's actually very refreshing. Anyway, wanted to put it on here for safe keeping.

2 cups water
1/2 cup cinnamon red cinnamon candies
6 ounces cherry Jell-O
2 cups applesauce, cold

Steps:

  • In a medium saucepan bring the water to a boil.
  • Stir red-hots in simmering water until dissolved.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Add jello mix and stir until dissolved.
  • Stir in cold applesauce.
  • Pour mixture into a serving dish and chill until set.

1 package (3 ounces) cherry gelatin
1-1/2 cups boiling water, divided
1/4 cup red-hot candies
1/4 cup plus 1-1/2 teaspoons cold water
1 cup chopped tart apples
1 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, dissolve gelatin in 1 cup boiling water. In another bowl, dissolve red-hots in remaining water; stir into gelatin. Stir in cold water. Refrigerate until slightly thickened, about 1 hour. , Fold in the apples, celery and walnuts. Pour into a 4-cup mold coated with cooking spray. Refrigerate for 2 hours or until firm.
