WHITE CASTLE STUFFING RECIPE for Roast Turkey image

This recipe is quite unique..... Quick and simple... and surprise! It really tastes good. Do not use the pickle! Makes a great stuffing dish on the side.... Nancy....11/16/12

Number Of Ingredients 6

10 - white castle hamburgers...no pickles........if frozen, thaw.
1-1/2 cup(s) celery....diced
1-1/2 teaspoon(s) ground sage
1/4 cup(s) chicken broth
1/1/4 teaspoon(s) ground thyme
3/4 teaspoon(s) coarsley ground black pepper

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, tear the burgers into pieces and add celery and seasonings. Toss. Add the chicken broth. Toss again. Stuff cavity of your turkey, just before roasting. Makes about 9 cups, enough for a 10-12 pound turkey. Note: Allow1 hamburger for each pound of turkey, which will be the equivalent of 3/4 cupof stuffing per pound.
  • I have made this with my recipe: "TURKEY BREAST ROAST & a mayonaise trick" gravy recipe included. See second picture. ................... Put the dressing in a covered casserole dish...with a little of the turkey juices added when dressing was 1/2 cooked..Bake 1 hour at 325F.
