Whipping Cream Biscuits image

These are quite simple to prepare and a great recipe for those who are new to making homemade biscuits. A tasty treat!

Number Of Ingredients 3

2 c self-rising flour
1 c whipping cream
1 Tbsp sugar

Steps:

  • 1. Combine ingredients, stirring with a fork until blended (sugar is optional).
  • 2. Dough will be stiff.
  • 3. If dough is too crumbly add a bit more cream.
  • 4. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead 10 to 12 times.
  • 5. Roll dough into half-inch thickness; cut with a 2-inch biscuit cutter.
  • 6. Place on lightly greased baking sheet.
  • 7. With a pastry brush, lightly brush the surface of each biscuit with milk or melted butter for an even golden finish.
  • 8. Bake at 450 for 10 to 12 minutes.
