Number Of Ingredients 16

Ribs:
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 cup country-style Dijon style mustard
3 cups apple juice
1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
3 pounds beef, pork loin, or country-style ribs
------------------------------
Barbecue Sauce:
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon coarsely ground pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Steps:

  • Ribs: In Dutch oven, stir together all ingredients, except ribs; add ribs. Cook over high heat until mixture comes to a full boil. Cover; reduce heat to low. Continue cooking, turning ribs occasionally, until ribs are fork-tender, 40-50 minutes. Prepare grill. Barbecue Sauce: In 1-quart saucepan stir together all Barbecue Sauce ingredients. Place ribs on grill. Brush ribs with Barbecue Sauce. Grill, brushing with Sauce and turning occasionally, until ribs are done, 12-15 minutes. Cook remaining Barbecue Sauce over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it just comes to a boil. Serve with ribs. Fun Fact: More pronghorn can be found in Wyoming than anywhere else in the world. As a matter of fact, with 416,000 pronghorn, Wyoming has 70% of the world's population. Often called "antelope," the pronghorn is actually a relative of the African gazelle. Capable of reaching speeds up to 70 miles per hour, the pronghorn is North America's fastest land animal.
