Vanilla Wafer Cake image

NOTE: Sorry - Brenda doesn't specify what kind of nuts are required for this recipe, so I assume that they could also be optional. This is 1 of my late wife's recipes. Number Of Ingredients 7

1 box(es) (12 oz) vanilla wafers
2 stick(s) butter
2 cup(s) sugar
6 - eggs
1/2 cup(s) milk
1 cup(s) nuts, chopped
1 cup(s) coconut, flaked

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F
  • In a mixing bowl - Grind vanilla wafers until they become crumb like consistency
  • In a seperate large mixing bowl with a electric mixer - Cream butter and sugar
  • Add 6 eggs; only 1 at a time; beating well after each addition
  • Add milk and vanilla wafer crumbs
  • Fold in nuts and coconut
  • Bake in well-greased and floured tube pan at 325 degrees F for 1 hour and 15 minutes
