Uncle Tom's Pea And Peanut Salad image

I watched my uncle make this for a family reunion. I was pretty skeptical, but decided to give it a try...just in case it really was good. Guess what...it really was good. I ate two large helpings.

Number Of Ingredients 7

10 ounce(s) frozen peas (thawed out)
1 cup(s) peanuts, dry roasted
1 cup(s) celery, chopped
6 slice(s) bacon, cooked & crumbled
1/4 cup(s) red onion, diced
1/2 cup(s) mayonnaise
1/4 cup(s) bottled zesty italian dressing

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, mix together the Italian dressing and mayonnaise, set aside.
  • Combine all the other ingredients in a large bowl with a lid.
  • Pour the mayo mixture over the salad and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate until serving.
