Turkey Pinwheels image

Just an easy fix using those left overs and making them into made over delicious!

Number Of Ingredients 15

PINWHEELS:
1 tablespoon(s) butter, softened
1/4 cup(s) chopped onions
1/2 cup(s) diced red bell pepper
1 cup(s) thawed peas
1 cup(s) diced turkey, more or less
10 3/4 ounce(s) can cream of chicken soup, undiluted
1 - recipe for rolled biscuits(bisquick)
1/2 cup(s) shredded cheddar cheddar cheese
SAUCE:
10 3/4 ounce(s) can cream of chicken soup or cream of celery
1/2 cup(s) half and half
1 cup(s) thawed peas
1 teaspoon(s) seasoned salt
1/2 teaspoon(s) pepper

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 450^. Pinwheels: In a small skillet melt the butter and add the onions and bell pepper and sauté for 5 minutes. Set aside. Cover peas with boiling water, and drain. Combine peas and turkey,and soup. Add sautéed onion and Bell pepper. Prepare biscuit dough according to package directions; add the cheese to the dough. Roll dough into a 15-inch square about 1/2 inch thick.
  • Spread with the turkey mixture, roll as for a jelly roll. Cut roll into 16 slices or so they are 3/4 inch thick, Place cut side down on a greased baking sheet. Bake 22-25 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with sauce on top.
  • Sauce: Combine ingredients, place over low heat in a small saucepan, stir occasionally until heat hot.
