TUNA NOODLE CASSEROLE - the EASIEST ever & ONE pan image

My Mom taught me the basic on this when I was a kid, have just added variations. It was good then and I still love this fast and easy dinner and only ONE pan. If you want it a bit creamier/thinner consistency, just add some milk.

Number Of Ingredients 8

2+ cup(s) uncooked noodles (i use redi cut spaghetti but can use elbow macaroni)
1 can(s) tuna, packed in water drained
1 can(s) cream of mushroom soup
1 can(s) cream of celery soup
1+ cup(s) frozen peas, carrots, green beans (your choice or combine) can use drained canned veggies
1 cup(s) chopped onions or french onions
1 can(s) stems & pieces mushrooms (optional)
1 cup(s) french onion, potato chips or shoestring potatoes (topping)

Steps:

  • Cook according to directions on package in a Dutch Oven pan, drain noodles. You can use elbow macaroni instead of the redi cut spaghetti. Drain
  • While noodles are draining, put the tuna, onions or french onions, cream of mushroom, cream of celery soups, mushroom pieces & stems (optional) and your choice of vegetables in the pan and heat.
  • return the noodles to the pan and mix well. Sprinkle the top with your choice of French Onions, Crumbled Potato chips or Shoestring Potatoes. ENJOY Warm or cold, make extra as it is great for lunches, also. If you want it creamier, add some milk and stir.
