TUNA AU POIVRE image

Number Of Ingredients 10

TUNA
1 tbls sugar
2 tbls coarsely ground black pepper
4 tsp mustard seeds
2 lbs tuna steaks, 1 - 1 1/4 inches thick
1/4 cup olive oil
MUSTARD MAYO
2/3 cup mayo
1 1/2 tbls dijon mustard
1 tbls soy sauce

Steps:

  • TUNA Combine the sugar, pepper, and mustard seeds. Press the mixture firmly into each side of the tuna steaks, coating it thoroughly. Heat the olive oil in a med-sized skillet and saute the tuna over high heat, 2 minutes per side until well seared. Remove to a platter and slice thinly. Serve with dallops of the mustard mayo. MUSTARD MAYO Combine all the ingredients and mix well. Store in fridge until needed.
