- EASING THE ACIDITY OF TOMATOES: Some people are unable to eat spaghetti sauce and other tomato based foods because of there high acid content. By adding chopped carrots and cooking them with the tomato dishes will reduce the acidity with out affecting the taste.
- KEEPING TOMATOES FROM STAINING YOUR PLASTIC: Plastic containers are perfect for keeping leftovers and sauces. You keep this from happing, simply spray the container with non stick cooking spray before pouring tomato based sauces. To remove a plastic stains cover the area with mustard , and leave on over night.
- INSTA-PEEL FOR TOMATOES: Need to quickly peel tomatoes for a recipe? The easiest way is to place them in a pot of boiling water foe a minute. The skins will practically fall off!
- FROM WHOLE TO CHOPPED: Do you have only canned tomatoes, and you need chopped. Don't mess with taking them out of the can, and making a mess on your cutting board. Instead, simply insert a clean pair of scissors into the can and snip away! NOTE: Foto is my July 2013 tomato garden! Looks like I will have tomatoes...soon!!
