TOASTED ALMOND PARTY SPREAD image

I found this on Allrecipes.com while looking for a dish to take to my great nieces party. It is a little different but got 5 stars and rave reviews. I plan to make it and thought it worth posting. A good party side recipe.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 pkg 8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 c shredded swiss cheese
1/2 c sliced almonds, toasted, divided
1/3 c mayonnaise
2 Tbsp sliced green onion
1/8 tsp pepper
1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
assorted crackers

Steps:

  • 1. In a small mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Stir in the Swiss cheese, 1/3 cup almonds,mayonnaise, onions, pepper and nutmeg. Spoon into a lightly greased pie plate. Bake at 350 degrees F 14-15 minutes or until heated through. Sprinkle with remaining almonds. Serve warm with crackers.
