TANGY LENTIL AND CHICKPEA SOUP image

Number Of Ingredients 12

2 tsp olie oil
3/4c celery
2 md onion
1lg potato
1 tsp each curry powder and turmeric
1/4 cinnamon
28oz tomato with juice
1c lentils
30oz chickpea
juice of lemon
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
1/2 c chopped cilantro.

Steps:

  • Saute onions spices, add tomatoes. Add 8c water with lentil, chickpeas and 1 tsp salt cook for 45 min. Just before serving add cilantro, lemon and vinegar
