SWISS TOSSED SALAD image

4 cups torn Romaine
1 (4 oz.) cup shredded Swiss cheese
1/2 cup salted cashews
DRESSING:
3 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. water
2 tbsp. red wine vinegar
2 tbsp. olive oil
1/4 tsp. dried minced onion
1/4 tsp. poppy seeds
1/4 tsp. ground mustard
Dash salt

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the romaine, cheese and cashews. In a jar with a tight-fitting lid, combine the dressing ingredients; shake well. Pour over salad and toss to coat. Serve immediately.
