- 1. Preheat oven to 375. Put heavy, oven safe skillet (cast iron is best) in oven while it is preheating. Once skillet is hot, add butter to skillet, allow butter to melt.
- 2. While skillet is heating prepare cornbread batter. In medium bowl, add eggs-whisk slightly. Add buttermilk, whisk slightly. Add sugar, baking soda and salt. Whisk mixing well. Add cornmeal and flour. Mix well. Add melted butter to batter. Mix well.
- 3. Pour batter in hot skillet. Bake at 375 for 30-40 min.
