Sweet peaches shortcake image

A simply easy, delicious peach shortcake recipe.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1/3 cup(s) light brown sugar
1/2 stick(s) butter
1 pound(s) ripe peaches, sliced
1/2 pound(s) ripe peaches, sliced
1/4 cup(s) orange juice
2 teaspoon(s) cornstarch
1 can(s) refrigerated biscuits
- whipped cream for serving

Steps:

  • Bake biscuits as directed, let cool, split biscuits in 1/2. In lg skillet, over medium heat, melt butter and brown sugar until bubbly.
  • Add peaches. Cook, stirring for 5 mins. In lg cup, whisk together cornstarch and orange juice. Stir into peach mix. Cook 2 mins or until thickened.
  • Place biscuits on plates. Spoon some peach mix onto each biscuit half, top w/ biscuit 1/2. Spoon more peach mix over biscuits, dollop w/ whipped cream.
