Sweet Freezer Slaw image

Number Of Ingredients 14

1 cabbage medium head, shredded
1 teaspoon salt
1 green bell pepper small, chopped
3 ribs celery chopped
1 onion small, chopped
1 carrot medium, grated
Dressing (see below)
Dressing:
1 cup sugar
1 cup white vinegar
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon celery seeds
1 teaspoon mustard seeds

Steps:

  • * Combine in a small saucepan, bring to a boil and boil for 1 minute. Cool. Place cabbage in a large bowl and sprinkle with salt toss. Let stand for 1 hour. Squeeze liquid out of cabbage. Add green pepper, celery, onion and carrot toss. Pour dressing over cabbage mixture, mix well and put into freezer containers. Seal and freeze.
