Sunrise Oatmeal image

Number Of Ingredients 12

2 cups water
2 cups milk
3 cups oats
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup apple juice
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 chopped pear
1/4 cup craisins
1/4 cup dried blueberries
1 cup vanilla yogurt
1/2 cup slivered almonds

Steps:

  • 1. Combine water, milk, oats and salt in large saucepan. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat and let sit while preparing fruit. 2. Mix together in small saucepan apple juice, brown sugar, cinnamon and fruits. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and simmer for 10 minutes. Stir into oatmeal. 3. Fold in vanilla yogurt and sprinkle with almonds.
