This is a staple of the Hoosier State. This particular recipe is as close to the local Brand Name Wicks, as I have found.

Steps:
- Mix first four ingredients in a sauce pan. Cook over medium heat, stirring until thickened.
- Removed from heat and stir in vanilla.
- Pour into prebaked pie crust.
- cut pats of butter in half and put on top of filling. Can sprinkle with nutmeg if you desire.
- Melt butter And allow top of pie to bubble slightly under broiler.
- Cool and serve. Refrigerate leftovers
