Sue's Ham Loaf or Ham Balls image

My mom's recipe. This recipe can easily be halved, and 4 lb of ham loaf mixture may be substituted for the ground ham and ground beef. When I made this, I used only ground ham and it was also good that way.

2 lbs cured ground ham
2 lbs ground beef
2 eggs, beaten
2 cups crushed graham crackers
1 1/2 cups milk
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
10 1/2 ounces tomato soup
1/2 cup vinegar
1 1/2 teaspoons mustard

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Mix ground meats, eggs, graham crackers, and milk together.
  • Form into loaf or balls.
  • Spread topping on meat.
  • Bake uncovered at 350F for 2 hour (for loaf) or 1 hour (for meatballs). Baste occasionally.
