Stuffed & Deep fried rigatoni image

How to make Stuffed & Deep fried rigatoni

Number Of Ingredients 11

1/3 lb ground Italian sausage
1/4 cup cream cheese
1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 tbsp chopped parsley
3 sticks provalone (cut into sizes big enough to stuff into the pasta)
1/4 cup marinara or pizza sauce (for dipping )
16 Rigatoni noodles
1 tbsp Italian seasoning
2 cups Italian breadcrumbs
1/4 cup finely grated parmesan
1 gallon cooking oil

Steps:

  • Preheat the oil to 375 degrees F Add the ground sausage to a medium high frying pan. Break the sausage up with a spoon and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the sausage is browned and crispy. Add the cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, and chopped parsley and cook until all the cheese is melted and combined with the meat. Set it aside.
  • Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the noodles and cook for about 8 minutes. Drain the noodles and set aside.
  • In one bowl, combine the eggs with the Italian seasoning. Add ΒΌ cup of water and whisk until the eggs are smooth. In another bowl, combine the Italian breadcrumbs with the parmesan cheese and parsley and mix. Fill 8 of the noodles with the sausage mix carefully trying not to break the noodles. Fill the remaining with the cheese pieces. Coat the stuffed noodles a few at a time in the egg wash with one hand letting as much of the egg drip off as possible. Add the noodles to the breadcrumb mix and coat thoroughly. Repeat again to double coat the noodles. Set aside until all are coated. Fry a few at a time for about 3 m2-3 minutes or until they become dark golden brown.
  • Divide the cheese stuffed rigatoni and the sausage stuffed rigatoni in half. Enjoy.
