Strawberry Nut Salad, Ma image

Mas recipe, I might consider using dream whip instead of sour cream in the center...

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 pkg strawberry jello
1 c boiling water
2 10 oz pkg frozen strawberries
1 1 lb 4 oz can well drained crushed pineapple
3-4 bananas, coarsely mashed
1 c coarsely chopped pecans or walnuts
1 pt sour cream

Steps:

  • 1. Dissolve jello in water, then add strawberries (no need to thaw since it will help jello firm), pineapple, bananas and nuts. Pour half in 9x13. Chill firm. Spread sour cream over layer, then spoon remaining jello over. Make a day ahead if possible to have thoroughly set. Could also make in large ring mold.
