Strawberry Jam image

I love strawberry jam and I love to put on toast, biscuits and english muffins. It is so delicious and sweet. I love to make canning fruits and vegetables.

Number Of Ingredients 3

2 qt ripe strawberries, washed, stemmed, and halved
10 c sugar
1/2 c lemon juice

Steps:

  • 1. Mix the berries with the sugar. Let stand overnight. Cook over low heaat until the sugar dissolves. Then turn up the heat and cook fast for 20 minutes, skimming off foam while cooking. Add the lemon juice and mix. Turn the heat to low and let simmer for 20 minutes more. Store in sterilized jars, following general canning procedures.
